Location:

Kings Park Botanical Gardens, Education Building, Kattidj Close, Perth, WA, 6005

**2 Sessions**

Sunday, November 17th:

Morning Session : 10:00-12:30

Afternoon Session : 1:00-3:30pm

Cost: $165

Join us for a 2-2.5 hour immersive workshop at Kings Park, where we will explore the beautiful art of natural dyeing using native leaves of Western Australia. Under expert guidance, you'll create your own one-of-a-kind wearable art piece by imprinting these unique botanicals onto a luxurious peace silk scarf. You'll also have the opportunity to experiment with dried flowers by eco-printing onto a hemp/linen-blend fabric bookmark, adding another layer of creativity to your experience.

As part of our exploration, we will dive into the fascinating science of natural dyeing, learning how acids and alkalines affect pH levels and influence the colours of various florals. This hands-on experience will help you understand the interplay between nature, chemistry, and art.

At the heart of our workshop is our commitment to sustainability and ethical practices. That's why we use peace silk—also known as Ahimsa silk—a cruelty-free alternative that allows the silk moth to complete its life cycle without harm. We believe in honouring both nature and craftsmanship, and peace silk reflects this ethos perfectly.

Don't miss this opportunity to create with purpose, connect with nature, and take home a meaningful piece of wearable art! Book your spot today. Limited availability.

**Native flower varieties and botanical print shapes / colours may differ slightly from the pictured examples based on what is available and in season.
