Our commitment to sustainability begins with our sourcing of fabrics, all of which are ethically sourced from India. Our choice of materials is carefully selected to ensure that they complement our design and are environmentally friendly.

One of our featured materials is Peace Silk, which is a non-violent process of silk breeding and harvesting. This process allows the silkworm to complete its metamorphosis and become a butterfly, without causing any harm or suffering to the animal. Peace Silk is produced under the strictest social and environmental standards in India, making it a cruelty-free and a vegan-friendly option.

Another material we use is GOTS Organic Cotton. This cotton is grown using sustainable methods and materials, which have a low impact on the environment. Organic production systems promote the maintenance of soil fertility and reduce the use of synthetic fertilisers and toxic pesticides. Choosing organic cotton promotes building biologically diverse agriculture and minimizes environmental damage.

We also utilize hemp fabric, which is often referred to as an environmental "Super Fibre". Hemp is a strong and durable material that is highly breathable and won't easily stretch out of shape. It is an ethical, sustainable, and environmentally friendly option, which requires no herbicides or pesticides to grow and is naturally organic.

Linen is another material we use, which is one of the oldest textiles in the world and is made from flax plant materials. It is a natural material and one of the most environmentally friendly to produce. Linen is fully biodegradable and is considered to be one of the most sustainable materials available.

At Rivarossa Botanicals, we are also proud of our natural dyeing process, which complements our commitment to sustainability. We use natural dyes that are derived from plants and other sustainable sources to ensure that our products are environmentally friendly and sustainable.
